Upon returning from Mars, four options of departure / arrival are available. The aim here is to compare them in terms of the amount of propellant consumed and the gravity experienced.

When the first flight, a robotic one, reaches Mars, there will be no facilities of any kind — only resources in their raw state. And it will be necessary not only to land but also to leave again. And leaving will only be possible after refueling. We will not quite be in a “chicken and egg” situation, since we will have our rocket, with useful equipment on board. The return will nevertheless be very tricky. Let us describe its various stages.

the purpose is to return to the habitats formed by the Eagles (a string of rotating stations in areostationary orbit), this is to say, to undertake the trips that have become « routine », once the Eagles’ collar is in place. Departure from the surface of Mars for Earth and not from Deimos, will happen only at the end of the very first sojourns in the Martian world, before the Deimos-II station is built and anchored in the soil of Deimos.
